Meet The Chickens

 We currently have 18 hens who live in a net covered run. The run is approximately 750 square feet, so they have plenty of space to roam around each day. They also get a ton of time in the field to forage for grass and bugs, but only when we are outside with them to ensure predators stay away! We need to keep our ladies safe!

  • Buff Orpington (Name: Blondie aka The OG, )

  • Plymouth Rock (Names: Two Tone, SJ, Wrecking Ball)

  • Silver Laced Wyandotte (Names: Speedy)

  • Golden Laced Wyandotte (Names: Littlee, Hoppy)

  • Black Sex Link (Names: Bumpy, Ladder, Blackberry, Homie)

Our chickens eat a mix of layer pellets, corn, oyster shells and grit. They also get fruits and vegetable scraps from our kitchen and weeds or plants pulled from the garden. And as an additional snack they get meal worms and scratch grains.
